November started big for Love Made Me Weddings. On possibly the wettest and greyest day yet to bless 2019 we travelled towards Oxfordshire to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary with a big bonfire night party.
Despite the mud, spirits remained high thanks to the cosy tipi setup and beautiful blooms gracing the rustic interior.
Mulled wine, mulled cider & hot chocolate greeted damp guests as they entered the tipis equipped with more fire pits than Simon Cowell’s X-factor ‘judges houses’ pad.
True Londoner and acoustic guitarist Phil had the guests singing and dancing to his country soundtrack which would have made June & Johnny proud.
Pre-dinner brought about the time to kick everyone back out into the rain & put dear old Donald Trump onto the bonfire. Waved off by all with sparklers and followed on by an extra-loud (on request; who has time for quiet fireworks?) 10 minute firework show.
Let the feast begin! Back in the warm, guests were well-fed by another London supplier, caterers Dinner Ladies. Amongst the menu which was filled with seasonal & fresh ingredients, we saw sumac spiced chicken, Chermoula aubergine, root vegetable salads, smokey dips and artisan breads. Dessert was an indulgent stem ginger & treacle tart and of course there many many toffee apples.
The guests and bar continued to fuel lots of revelry whilst lots of naughty n naked apples, stripped of their toffee were cleared away and the cheese boards were brought out!
Sparkly night, sparkly vibes and a great cause for lots of sparkly celebration. Thanks and love to all involved xoxo
